Megan Siatczynski (Iris)
My name is Megan Siatczynski. I am a sophomore. I am very passionate about acting, dancing, and theatre in general. My first memory of Homestead Theatre was the first day of freshman year and after school, I walked into the black box and sat quietly on a pillow because I was scared and I didn’t know anyone.
Why did audition for William Shakespeare’s The Tempest?
1) Shakespeare plays are glorious pieces of theatre.
2) I love to act.
3) It’s “The Tempest”! There’s magic! Who doesn’t love magic?
I play Iris. She is the rainbow goddess and the messenger of gods. I believe I am very much like my character because I’m basically a walking, talking rainbow. I have such a colorful mind and spirit.
This production is giving a whole new meaning to “The Tempest”. We are taking words and completely changing them into something visual. Something that both the audience and actors can enjoy.
